Ottawa ON April 1, 2010 — Corel Corporation today announced that Corel® WordPerfect® Office X5, the newest version of the world’s leading alternative to Microsoft® Office, has won the Best of FOSE award in the Desktop Software Category. Awarded by Government Computer News (GCN), the Best of FOSE awards program recognizes outstanding and innovative IT products for government exhibited during the annual FOSE exhibition.

GCN’s editors and technology analysts reviewed the new products and chose the winners based on four criteria: innovation; usability/applicability to government; relative performance based on specifications; and value.
