Two Pilots has released a new version of Exif Pilot for viewing, editing, and creating the EXIF and IPTC data of photographs.
Digital photography allows you not only to catch an interesting picture of life and to get it into a computer for further demonstration, but it also automatically records parameters used when taking the image. The additional data records have a special format called EXIF. EXIF data include date, time, and technical parameters such as lens aperture, exposure time, ISO, flash energy, focal length and more.
Both amateur and professional photographers often need to analyze the quality of images depending on parameters they were taken with. Exif Pilot is software designed for EXIF and IPTC data analysis and comparing the parameters for a number of images. EXIF data are shown in a simple table without the need for difficult adjustment. In View mode, supported file formats are the following: JPEG, TIFF, PNG, DNG, NEF, CRW, JP2, PSD and RAW files (including CR2, MRW, ARW PEF, SR2, ORF, and RAF types).
Editing and creating EXIF data are features demanded by digital camera users. In Edit mode, Exif Pilot support these file formats: JPEG, TIFF, PNG, DNG, NEF, PEF, CRW, and JP2.
EXIF data can be edited by:
– editing EXIF data in the program window;
– editing EXIF data from command line;
– using imported data from XML, CSV, and MS Excel files.
Batch editing is available with the Exif Pilot Pro version.
